Lord, help us endure when we are disappointed, for we are choosing to believe seasons of endurance are brimming with purpose even when our feelings desire to drag us into the depths of despair.

Disappointment often precedes endurance.

“And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment” Romans‬ ‭5:4-5‬ ‭NLT‬

Taking our thoughts captive and setting our minds on things above can begin the process of disappointment leading to a hope that will never disappoint. And if confident hope in Christ is the goal, then God’s allowance of disappointment and seasons of endurance are nothing short of a gift full of love and purpose
